Another sad passing of a great Irishman, I was only familiar with Hubert O’ Connor through his book The Emperor and the Irishmanand was unaware of his rugby days for Ireland and feted work as an obstetrician. If you haven’t had a chance check out his book, 30 years in the making it provides a really telling insight into Napolean’s last days in St. Helena via his doctor Dr. Barry O’Meara.
